Born in Toledo, Ohio, Kerr rose from collegiate wrestling to international MMA success in the late 1990s, becoming one of the most feared fighters of his era. His journey was documented in the acclaimed HBO documentary, The Smashing Machine, recently adapted into a major motion picture starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as Kerr.
