Jimmy Mauric is the heart and legacy of Shiner Beer. He dedicated 46 years to the historic Spoetzl Brewery in Shiner, Texas, retiring in 2024 after a legendary career that helped shape the brand into what it is today. A true hometown hero, Jimmy started working at the brewery as a teenager and rose through the ranks to become head brewmaster in 2005. Under his leadership, Shiner grew from a regional favorite into a nationally recognized name – all while staying fiercely loyal to its roots. He upheld the brewery’s Czech and German traditions with passion, personally tasting every batch and never compromising on quality. Jimmy didn’t just brew beer – he built a legacy of craftsmanship, community, and Texas pride.
